What you cannot sell on Vinted
Most clothes, shoes, toys and home items are fine. Some things are never allowed, and a few are allowed only if you follow a rule. Here is the list, taken from Vinted's own Catalogue Rules.

Vinted refuses fakes, food, medicines, live animals, knives, weapons, tobacco and vaping devices, and some kinds of fur and ivory, among others. Leather, sheared sheep wool, cashmere and mohair are fine. A listing that breaks the rules is hidden or removed, and repeat breaches can cost you your account.
The three groups of banned items
Vinted's Catalogue Rules sort banned items into three groups. Illegal items are things the law does not let you sell. Restricted items are things that do not fit what Vinted is for, such as food or medicines. Unsafe items are things that could hurt someone or fail safety rules. Source: Catalogue Rules
The full page is long. The sections below cover the items sellers run into most often. Read the full rules before you list something unusual.
Fakes and "inspired by" items
A counterfeit is an item that carries a brand's name or logo but was not made or approved by that brand. Vinted also refuses listings that describe an item as "inspired by" a brand. Source: Item authenticity, counterfeits and intellectual property
If a listing offers a counterfeit item, Vinted says it permanently removes the listing and suspends the account it came from. Source: Item authenticity, counterfeits and intellectual property
Underwear, make-up and other hygiene items
Vinted sets its own conditions for underwear, swimwear, cosmetics and other hygiene items. Some are allowed only in certain states, so check the full rules for your item before you list it.
Electronics: what gets refused
Phones, laptops, consoles, cameras and headphones are welcome. Vinted refuses electronic devices with batteries over 100 watt-hours. Some subcategories are limited, such as blank media, memory cards, and printer ink and toner. Source: Electronics category: what you can sell

Other things you cannot list
These are some of the things Vinted's rules refuse. Some have narrow exceptions, so check the rule for your item if you are not sure. Source: Items not allowed on Vinted
- Food and drinks of any kind.
- Medicines, vitamins and food supplements.
- Live animals, and items for wild or farm animals.
- Items containing fur, reptile skin, shell or ivory. Leather, sheared sheep wool, cashmere and mohair are fine.
- Kitchen knives and other sharp knives. Butter knives with a dull blade and rounded tip are allowed.
- Weapons, pepper sprays and tasers.
- Tobacco products and vaping devices.
- Mattresses and duvets, except in the kids categories.

Fine at home, refused abroad
An item that is allowed in your country may not be allowed in an order to another country. Between the US and the UK, for example, perfumes and aftershaves cannot be sent. Source: International sales and customs
What happens if you list something not allowed
If a listing only needs a fix, Vinted hides it. You do not need to contact Vinted or appeal. Update the listing to follow the Catalogue Rules, and it is shown again. Source: Listing was hidden or removed
If the item itself is not allowed, the listing is removed and you get a moderation message. If that message has an appeal link, you can appeal once, within six months of the decision. Source: Listing was hidden or removed
Breaking the rules again and again can cost you the account. Vinted may suspend or permanently block an account, depending on how serious the breach is.
