How shipping works on Vinted, step by step
You sold something. Now what? Here is the whole road from the sale to the buyer's door, with the deadlines from Vinted's own help pages.

The buyer chooses the carrier and pays for the postage at checkout. Vinted then sends you a prepaid label or a code, and you have 5 business days to pack the item and drop it off. If you miss that deadline, the order is cancelled and the buyer gets their money back.
The buyer chooses the carrier and pays for it
When someone presses "Buy now", they also pick the shipping option you will use. They see the full postage cost at checkout, and they pay it. Nothing comes out of your balance for shipping. Source: How shipping works
Which carriers you get depends on your country. Some offer drop-off at a post office, some at a shop or a locker. The options you see in your app are the ones that work where you live.
Choose the parcel size when you list
When you list an item, Vinted suggests a parcel size and shows each carrier's size and weight limits. Check it against the box or bag you will really use. Once the buyer pays, the size and the carrier can no longer be changed. Some carriers accept a bigger parcel at no extra cost, but others can refuse it or charge more. A simple habit helps: before you list, fold the item into the bag you plan to send it in. A thick winter coat rarely fits the smallest size, even if a T-shirt does.
From the sale to the buyer's door
Get your label or code
Vinted sends it to your Vinted inbox and your email, with instructions. They tell you whether you need to print a label and where to drop the parcel off.
Pack the item
Use a sturdy box or padded bag that fits the item well. Fill empty space, tape it shut, and remove any old labels from reused packaging.
Stick on the label
If you have a label to print, stick it flat on the biggest side of the parcel, with the barcode fully visible. If you have a code, show it at the drop-off point instead.
Drop it off in time
Take the parcel to the drop-off point in your instructions within 5 business days of the sale. Sooner is better.
Watch the tracking
Tracking shows in your conversation with the buyer. It can take up to 48 hours to appear.
The buyer confirms, you get paid
When the buyer says everything is fine, the money moves to your available balance.
Use the label Vinted gives you, and only that one
The prepaid label or code is tied to the carrier the buyer chose. You must use it to send the order. If you post the parcel another way or with another label, the order is cancelled automatically. Source: Shipping on Vinted
No printer at home? Ask the drop-off point if they can print it, or use a printer at work, at a library or at a friend's place.
How you pack also matters. Vinted's packing guide asks for sturdy packaging, filling material and strong tape, and extra care for fragile items and electronics. Source: Packing an item
If you cannot ship in 5 business days
You can ask the buyer for more time. In the conversation, press "Extend shipping deadline" and choose 3 or 5 extra business days. The buyer can accept or say no. If the parcel is not sent in time and there is no tracking update, the order is cancelled the next business day. Source: I can't send the item on time
When that happens, the buyer is refunded and you do not get paid for the sale. Source: Delivery process
Tracking can lag behind the parcel. If you dropped it off and nothing shows, press "I confirm I've sent the order" in the conversation. That stops the order from being cancelled while the carrier catches up. Keep your drop-off receipt until the sale is complete.
When the sale is complete and you get paid
The order is complete when the buyer presses "Everything is OK". If they do not press it and do not report a problem, it completes on its own 2 days after they receive the parcel. You then get your money within 2 days, in your available balance. Source: Getting paid for a completed sale
From there you can move it to your bank account whenever you want. We cover what Vinted takes, and what it does not, in Vinted fees for sellers.
On busy days, Flogit puts the labels you already have for your open orders into one file, so you print them in one go. A label can also come with a packing slip in the buyer's language, so a buyer in France reads it in French. You still pack and drop off every parcel yourself. See it on the sales page.
