Help Offers Where the suggested counter comes from

Where the suggested counter comes from

Your own numbers decide. Flogit shows the answer and why.

Flogit compares the offer with your price and your settings. It suggests accept, counter or reject, and fills in the reply.

The line under the badge always says why. Nothing is sent until you press a button.

The rules, in order

  1. The gap is very small

If the offer is within Minimum step of your price, accept. The offer must also be at or above your lowest price.

  2. The offer is good enough

If it reaches Accept at or above (% of listing price), accept.

  3. The offer is far too low

If it is under half of your lowest price, reject. The reply still invites a better offer.

  4. Too many rounds

After Max counter-offers counters, Flogit stops haggling. See What ends a negotiation.

  5. Otherwise, counter

Flogit picks a counter price, as below.

Where the counter aims

Counter strategy has two choices:

ChoiceThe counter aims at
Split the differenceHalfway between their offer and your price. This is the default.
Usual asking priceWhat similar listings ask. With no similar listings, it splits the difference instead.

The limits on every counter

  • Never under your lowest price.
  • Always above their offer.
  • Under your listed price. A counter at your full price becomes 95% of it.

Prices of 10 or more are rounded to a whole number. Lower prices are rounded to the nearest 0.50.

Replies written by Flogit

With Replies written by Flogit on, Flogit writes the answer and the reply itself. Your lowest price still applies to its counters, and it never accepts under it.

It is off by default. Each written reply counts against your plan for the month:
