The resale pill: what it is telling you

Before you buy something to sell again: what it is worth, and what you should pay.

On a Vinted item page, press the Flogit button Estimate resale value, next to Vinted's own buttons. Flogit looks for similar listings and shows the numbers.

On your own listings, the button is called Market value.

The numbers

NumberWhat it means
Middle priceThe middle asking price of similar listings on Vinted, and how many it found.
Probably sells for15% under the asking price, because items usually sell for less than asked. If you sold 2 or more similar items, your own price is used.
Good buy pricePay less than this and you keep a good margin. It is 60% of the likely price.
Good sell priceA range from the low end of similar listings to the middle price.
VerdictOn someone else's listing: what you keep if you buy at this price. It counts Vinted's buyer protection fee, not postage.

How this is calculated, at the bottom, says which search found the listings and how strictly they were matched.

Change the search

The search words are in a box under the first numbers. Type what a buyer would type and press Search.

If Flogit finds only a few listings, it warns you. Read those numbers with care.

The same item on eBay

Lower down, Flogit shows similar items for sale on eBay, with their middle price. These are asking prices too.

eBay has other buyers and other fees. Use it as a check, not as the price.

A good price is not a sale

The numbers assume the item sells. Look at how many similar listings there are. Many listings and no sold ones can mean too many sellers and few buyers.
